I am looking for a (somewhat) late model computer.

We need a family computer that will be used for some light web surfing (PBS kids, Nick Jr, AH.NET, etc...), bill paying, picture editing, and word processing. I will consider a laptop or a desktop with at least a 15" monitor/screen.

Don't know what you want to spend but you can buy a new or refurbished all-in-one or laptop at best buy for under $400. Not a lot of bells and whistles but they'll do all you described and then some.

I looked again...you can get a pretty decent laptop for well under $300.

I bought my last one from Walmart online. Refurbished Dell desktop 170 bucks. Never had a minutes trouble with it. I had a monitor already.
