Anybody ever fish the Little Maumelle back there behind the Ranch on Highway 10? I've lived here my whole life and never fished it. I'm looking to find some red ears pretty soon and it looks pretty fishy back there.

Any thoughts?

Years ago I fished that area quite regular for bass - did look pretty fishy at the time.

It looks dang fishy..I've won a dollar or 2 bass fishing up there, but if I was red ear you'd have a chance of catching me hanging out in a spot that looked just like that.

I also saw a couple catching some in Big Maumelle creek the other day...they were just above the Overlook ramp and were trying to catch some bluegills to run jugs for Op's in the creek. They had a half dozen or so that they threw on ice for a camp lunch that were some nice one's, and several smaller gills they were keeping alive for the jugs.
