Not the big buck I had set out to get at the beginning of season but it will be good on the table.I've had a good year and killed two big does and this lil guy with my bow.I've had chances at bucks and hit a limb on one and shot one to far forward into the shoulder.I got to go on a hunt with one of my buddies and see him kill his first deer with a compound.I set my wife up on a permit hunt and she killed a big doe.I also killed a doe and missed one with a muzzleloader,so I ended up 4 of 7 on shots taken.Looking back on the season ,I had a eventful year filled with alot of good memories.I didn't fill all my goals like killing a monster with my bow and getting my wife her first deer with a bow but it has been a good year.I'm going to try to set my ol lady up this weekend and try to get her one with her bow,and I'm not sure that I'm done yet either.Good luck to all those that are not ready to hang up the bows just yet.

I'm not done with bow yet, going out this weekend for the last deer hunt of the season. Nice job on the late season harvest.

Yeah, it looked bigger at dark 30.I had four come in on me at last light and it presented the best shot.My mom said it looked like a dog,so I let my dog get in the picture for comparison,lol.

You can cut em with a fork and they are a heck of a lot easier to pack out of th timber - only deer I killed this year weighed about 60 lbs - well done

You're right about the packing out of the woods.I had about a 1/4 mile drag and 1/2 mile game cart trip with this deer.It was'nt too bad,but two of the does I killed this year and the one my wife killed were big and bout killed me getting them out.After I dragged one of those does out I went on a permit hunt and and purposely shot a yearling doe standing next to a big doe because I was thinking about the drag to the truck.Thanks everyone.I went some years not killing much because I was horn hunting and had in my mind what I would or would not shoot before I even hit the woods.Its fun sometimes to just go deer hunting and take whatever gives you the opportunity.There aint nothing like going grocery shopping in the woods.

Refreshing post Jeremy. Wish hundreds of hunters on this site and nation wide would realize that. Forget the horns every once in a while and just enjoy a harvest and the hunt
