Just curious to know if anyone had any luck there this year? I grew up hunting the area and now I'm on a lease that borders it to the south.

I killed a doe with my bow. And last week first time i hunted with a gun out there this year. Saw two bucks and five does. During the first of bow season i was watching five does every sitting. Fixen to start back bow hunting.

If your lease is south of 360 on what was the south half of the old Lafayette WMA then you are on a good lease! I hunted there in the 80's and early 90's and killed some fair deer but i saw some whoppers come out of there!

That's the place. We have 1400 acres that borders the highway. We have killed some decent deer since we started leasing it in 2004. One giant in the 160s...
