Anyone ever go to kansas and nebraska to chase turkeys in May? I am graduating May 8 and Me and my dad are thinking about heading up there to kill some. Anyone ever been have any pointers? We're going in blind

I live in southeast Kansas but hunt them in central and west Kansas. If you are hunting rio's, they aren't as responsive to calls as easterns. They have their daily routine and walk the same paths every day. If you see some, watch them and set up for an ambush the next day near where they have been. That's how we have the best luck

Ive hunted both for a few years. Rios or rio hybrids cover alot of ground quickly. Ive had great response to calls tho. U really gotta cut down on em tho. That soft purr mess u use with easterns wont work.

I've gone up to Mcpherson, KS for the past 4 years with a guy named Adam Gilkey. Killed 2 birds every time, 6 Rios and 2 hybrids. Awesome guy and his places are packed with birds. Let me know if you want his number.
