What's the kickinist gun you've ever pulled the trigger on?? For me it's a buddies Browning Bar .300 Win. Mag.. That gun will send you to the Chiropractor or the ER..:blackeye:

My old muzzleloader laoded with 300 gr Barnes copper bullets and 120 grains of FFFG. I thought it had detached a retina! The gun was a light, carbine barreled sidelock. It literally gave my cousin a bloody nose when he didn't believe me when I told him how hard it kicked. After shooting it, he DID!!! (and, no the gun didn't hit him in the face)

A Marlin 45-70 and a Ted Williams 12 ga pump shotgun with 3in shells. I remember the Ted williams real well you could shoot a shell and never had to worry about bringing the forearm back to kick the empty hull out cause it had so much drive on the back end. Just shoot and pull foward. The 45-70 just was teeth stomper, every time you shot it would send a shock wave out the end of the barrel parting everything in its path.

300 weatherby. When sighting in, anything on paper was good enough.
You sound like my buddy with the Bar.. We bought .300 Win Mags for a trip out West.. I bought a Ruger M-77, heavy but not bad on the recoil and he opted for the lighter, prettier Bar.. We went and sighted them in and I went first, shot 3 times and got it on paper then 3 more times to fine tune and then 3 shots at longer distances.. Then he gets up and shoots once, makes an adjustment and shoots again and gets it on paper and says that's close enough for me.. I ask why he wasn't going to fine tune it some and he turned with his beet red cheek showing and said thats all I can take, the next shot will be at game or to defend myself only.. I laughed and ask to shoot it and he said go ahead.. Well after 2 shots (one on purpose the other from recoil) I told him that it was close enough for me too..

Far as hunting guns, used to have an 8X7 STW Magnum built out of a Savage Plains Rifle, no boss on it, killed on both ends. As far as the worst I ever shot, a buddies custom 50 Cal BMG with some special hand loaded roll your owns. He out growed that one, now he is working on a 950 JDJ, don't think I will tackle that one!

My dad has one of those Ted Williams. You better not have your face pushed to hard aginst the stock cause it will knock your teeth out!!!
