Hey guys I need some advice on what size of kennel to get.

I'm getting a Chocolate lab pup in a few weeks and want to go ahead and get everything I need for him. One of the things I will be getting to help with house training among other things is one of the wire mesh folding kennels. They have many sizes of these kennels and was wondering if anyone could point me to what the best size would be for my pup. I want it to be big enough that he can still sleep in it when he is full grown and still be comfortable. I was thinking 48".

Thanks in advance for the help!

General rule of thumb says it needs to be big enough for them to stand all the way upright and be able to turn around. A 48 would be big enough for my lab, but not my brothers. Since yours is still a pup, best guess would be to go by the size of daddy if you can.

Good advice. If it's a female, then plan on it being about the same size as mom or a little bigger. Most labs are smaller these days, which is generally a good thing health wise.
