I sure see a lot of similar characteristics. If not the same, its definitely same gene pool

I'd say different deer. Brow tines are longer on the first buck.

 

Hard to tell, but in the last pic you can see the back tine clearly bends back at the top at the same angle as on last year's pic. Can't tell from the angles if the right side also bends back like that. Looks like it could be a year older so it's certainly possible. Definitely lost some brow tine length too though if it's him

 

It looks like in last year’s picture, the ends turn down from being damaged in velvet. Could be the same deer. As BL said. If it’s not, it’s the same gene pool.

 

Just go ahead and kill him that way you can give that rack a closer analysis😁

 

I got a some other deer I would take over him - kind of been waiting to see if that drop beam buck shows up - but about to give up - for now

 

Tough to say. Very similar characteristics but too tough to call with certainty.

 

At a glance, they don't look the same but are almost certainly related.
