Summit! A guy had a used one in the trading post earlier. Said it was like new.
Thanks, read it a few minutes ago but I can get a new viper for $230 delivered.

Is that a steel stand for 230.00?
This one is aluminum viper sd. Does Summit make a steel one? I don't know if it is ok to do this but here is the link ya'll don't buy them all up I might want one...

Lone Wolf aluminum. They cost $350, but worth every penny.
Summit. The steel Summits are around $179 I believe. I would go with aluminum though. The Viper is around 21 lbs. The Bushmaster (open front) is around 18lbs. Lone Wolfs...way too much for me without much of an advantage that I see.
Can't go wrong with gorilla either. Mine is going on 7 seasons and looks and works perfect, and you only will have to spend around 150!
The Summit Viper SD doesn't have a footrest like the Realtree Outfitter Series nor does it have the fully padded shooting rail. Seems like minor stuff but that footrest makes a world of difference on long sits and the fully padded shooting rail makes a difference in scratching your gun while laying it across a padded rest vs rough metal as well as noise reduction.

Just wanted to point out that the stands, while very similar have differences and are several dollars difference (around $50 on the Cabela's site) http://www.cabelas.com/climbing-treestands-realtree-outfitter-series-viper-ultra-treestand-1.shtml
I tried to buy one of the outfitter series simmit vipers. They said they were discontinued.
API grand slam I have had mine for 15 yrs and love it
Thanks for all the replies, I picked up a used summit (aluminum) looks like a viper from a fellow member on here for $65. I got a good deal and he was glad to have it out of his place.
Summit Open Shot
x2
Does anybody on here use Old man stands?
I have one but my summit open shot is my favorite

thats a heck of a deal. I like mine, the viper is a good one. That is my back up to my open shot
I think the apis are comfortable but the newer ones are heavy but they will fit bigger trees the summits are comfortable and light but wont fit as big of a tree. The lonewolfs are light packdown quiet they wont fit the bigger trees either and arent that comfortable. Im thinking bout swapping out the seats on the lonewolf. If you was wanting something dead quiet and light i would try and find a good used lonewolf sit and climb and maybe swap out the seats to an api or summit. Or id try and find the old style api s i they r light comfortable and fit the bigger trees. I picked one up for 100 off of here a couple years ago

me too. LOVE IT!!! Super quiet, easy to get on tree, and easy to pack.
Actually I was wrong I started looking at the Summit website and found out I bought a Razor not a Viper so probably got a better deal than I thought because the razor front bar drops down to bow hunt from easier.
