As best I can tell she has 11. :hair:

Im gonna go out there now and doctor their umbilical cord and get a for sure count and also see how many males/females there are.

So far they all seem to be doing fine.

Im pretty excited about this mating but dadgum thats alot of puppies for one momma (and my wife and I) to try and take care of. :smack:

Ill also post a picture if I can find the memory card to my camera.

touche! :smack:

(note to self-edit thread title)

Yep, its 11. She looked like she had swallowed a basketball and now I see why.

Most of em are gonna be mostly black and tan with white on their feet, chest, and stomach so thats good.

The "bad" is that I prefer females and she had 8 boys and only 3 girls. :frown:

This is her second litter. She had 9 and raised 8 last time. Hopefully she'll keep her average going with this one.

Unfortunately we lost one today. :frown:

All the others seem to be doing fine so hopefully she'll raise the rest.

If we can just get em past that first week Ill breathe a little easier. :cross:

One week old today and doing great!

Its expensive raising puppies! :hair:

Stud fee-$150
Vet- $65 (dew claws removed and the pups and momma checked out)
AKC-$45 ($25 to register the litter then $2 per pup x 10)
Wormer-$25-$30 (I usually worm the pups and the momma every week till the pups are weaned)
Shots-$60 (itll probably be higher if I buy the shots locally and dont keep any past 9 weeks or theyll be due for another one)
Puppy Chow-?

Ill probably have from $350-$400 in em not counting an awful lot of time and work and that just gets em to 6 or 7 weeks old. :smack:

On top of that Ive got another litter that will be here in a couple of weeks or so. :smack: again

Oh well, hearing em run rabbits is priceless. :thumb:

Two weeks old today!

Its awfully hot but I think we're out of the woods.

All 10 are doing great, getting plenty to eat, and growing.

These pups were 6 weeks old Wednesday and they are doing great.

I kept a male and female for myself and have sold all the others except for two males.
