Wanted you all's opinion on this one. Killed in East Central Kansas.

Just my opinion, of course, but based on the coloration, the location of the kill, and the thick, full beard, I'd guess it's a hybrid.

Good lookin bird. I've seen full rios a lot more white and I've seen full rios that dark. Hard to say but depending exactly how east there's a real good chance it's a hybrid

Your birds body is bigger than any Rio that I've put a tag on plus a big wooly beard. I'd say hybrid.
My experience with Rio Grande birds are smaller body's, thinner beards but better spurs.

Same here. I've killed a couple with 11" beard that wasn't as big around as a quarter. Not much bigger if any.

Looks more like a turkey to me caught a few hybrids on Degray today and none of them had feathers or beards, mostly white with some broken stripes along their bodies.
