Planning my last hunting trip of the year this weekend. Still looking for that first deer of my life. :frown: Anybody got any suggestions for hunting Winona WMA or any of the national forest around Perryville. I've hunted the creek by the trail quite a bit, but I haven't had any luck. Looking for a good place to sit on the ground. Thanks for the help in advance.

This time of year at Winona is all about honeysuckle, the bigger the patch the better. The area below the spillway used to have some real good patches and quite a few deer. They have been hammered but will still move after it quietens down. The area just below the spillway and the area at the far end of the bluff are worth checking out.
