I have a pet deer that I am training to hunt coyote. I figure that by next season I can have him out in the field with me.

I called AGFC to ask if this was legal. They told me they did not know. I called another office, and they said as far as they knew it was legal, but he would ask the General, and get back with me.

I hope you have more luck with your pet deer than my neighbor did. All that little buck wanted to do was run a spike thru his gullet (he tried repeatedly but never connected) and eat his cigarettes! Dang deer never did learn to retrieve, either.... He was later de-moted to lunch.

My uncle had a deer that was suposed to run fox, but the problem was it ran
deer dogs and the deer dog hutners complained about the deer trespasing and running there dogs til there tongue hung out. They would turn out on private property and the deer would here them strike and run them all the way home and the deer dog hunter's would call agfc, but I don't think they
ever sent anybody out.:thumb:

Y'all think that's funny, a dog jumped a buck behind my house, I was on the stand, and they went round and round in the thicket...all of a sudden I heard that dog go to squallin like a bear had a holt on him....it confused me at first, but as I listened...the dog went on home, hollerin all the way. I got down and went into the thicket, and pretty soon found bloody dog tracks, leading off the way the dog went., back across the fence and home!
