been looking in the game and fish books from AR i do not see in it what are the minimum bullet calibers for deer, hogs, bear ? the only thing i seen was for turkey and minimum of 40 lb draw bow for deer. muzzle loader min .45 cal.. i don't know if i ever will hunt any of the species mentioned to fat and bad knees and lungs. but would like to know. i would not even think of using a .17 hmr or a .22 but wanted to know for center fire ammo.

If I remeber right, the only thing mentioned on calibers for big game are no rimfires, minimum of 22 cal centerfire and no FMJ bullets.

I think the minimum caliber just came into effect last year.
