I am considering moving to Arkansas to pastor a church and was wondering about the hunting and fishing. Is it hard to find a good hunt club or even public areas. I like to waleye fish aw well. If I do move there it will be to Piggott in Clay County. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Randy

Spring and buffalo river some of the finest fishing in the country, you would be a little over an 1.5 hours away from spring and 3 ish from buffalo. Welcome to the board
Hunting and Fishing plentiful statewide! There are some big deer in NE arkansas where your going to be. Greers Ferry Lake in Heber springs held the World Record Walleye (22lbs 11oz I believe) for quite some time, although bass, catfish and crappie are the more common game fish in Arkansas.

Hunting clubs are numerous in the state, and in my experience it wont take long for the Pastor to catch an invite from one of the congregation. My Uncle has pastored in South, Central and North Arkansas, and immediately has hunting and fishing oppurtunities everywhere he goes. He killed his biggest buck ever this year on one of his congregations land.

Of course you know as well as I do that your not going to let the hunting and fishing make the decision for you. Give it to God, he'll take care of you and give you the desires of your heart as you serve him!

Welcome to the site Bro. Randy!
Youd probably have to go to some of the western states to find more public land than Arkansas has.
