Ok I'm hunting a pond and when I first hung the stand up the water was closer to my tree. It's been so dry the water has went down another 20 yards and all the deer are staying just out of range. I don't want to put out noticeable bait because my uncle and cousins like to steal my spots. I just want something that can attract them closer without attracting other people. Thought about the dirt block from evolved habitat but don't know how good it is. Think it's molasses flavor. Also bought some small jars of peanut butter. Don't know how good that works either.

Get a jug of sugar beat crushed from walmart for 8 bucks and pour it on some open soil or a dead tree trunk and it works great...

I looked at that and the acorn rage juice but figured the block would last longer... Have to get some next time

Enhance isn't real noticeable if you spread it out.

I bought some deer cane. You just pour it out and it's clear like water. The deer were digging a hole where I poured it.

How far out of range are they? I'd just stay put and hope one makes a bad decision!

Try and get your stand closer to the trail coming to the pond, or you could stack a few tree tops between you and the water where they have to swing out around them toward your stand.

Only tree big enough near it has my stand in it. I'm between 2 CRP fields and the pond is surrounded by small persimmon trees. I shot 2 does this year already but they are getting a little to far out
