I drew a permit for there last year. Scouted hard. Saw one bird when scouting. Never heard anything while hunting it. I will not be applying for another permit for there. Same goes for Wattensaw. I drew a permit for there year before last. Same thing. Never heard a bird.

I find it hard to believe the AGFC has a permit hunt on an area with so few birds.
Thanks for the advice! I hear guys talk bout the big deer they've seen there and was curious bout the turkeys.
Saw 10 hens other day by the lake saw a few toms on other end on private land

I bow hunt Wattensaw regularly, there are birds there. They are just a little smarter than the one I am used to. I have only hunted Holland Bottoms for skurls, and saw some scratching and feathers.
I kill birds there every single year. Huge birds and tons of them. Easy to hunt.

I just told a big lie.

I'm pretty sure you have to draw a permit to hunt reguardless of your weapon of choice. Never hunted Wattensaw, but I have drawn Holland Bottoms for the last 4 years. I am at 50%, 2 toms in 4 years. No lie Lt. Gibson! The last one came in silent, but I was ready! Birds are hard to hunt and the place is full of freaks! A lot of people I talk to are really intimidated by the wierdos there, but, I guess they don't scare me when I'm carrying a 12ga full of turkey loads. I usually only hunt the last day(Monday) and I have yet to run into another hunter. Maybe I should be prepared for that to change after this post.
