Hog related question,

Never been around wild hogs so I am wondering if what I found yesterday was a wallow? 5 foot in diameter by 6 inches deep dried up mud hole. Next to it were several small trees that had been smeared with mud to about knee high.

Can't say that it was anything made by a deer.

Tracks

Yep, I saw a few pig like tracks in the dirt. It is just south of redfield, AR. How can I keep them in the area so that I may get a shot one day?

Start pouring corn & some used oil or Diesel on the wallow. They want have a reason to leave.......

Put some food around and they will stay....Hogs will eat darn near anything if you can find some freebies from some where use them.......we used to get Pizza scraps from restaurant and use them....FREE

I think they would given the opportunity I have seen them cleaning up carcases on the road side several times :biggrin:
