Hog Huntin in New Zealand

Hey, I'm from Hot Springs, but I am living in Tauranga, New Zealand for a few months.

They have got big hogs down here! And you know what they hunt them with?
Knives!

Is this legal in Arkansas? I doubt it. It sounds crazy, but I think it would be a lot more fun, and would feel more sportsman-like.

They chase 'em either alone or with dogs, then tackle them and slit their throats. These hogs have some nasty teeth too!

What are your opinions on this?

pics? i would like to see that.i have seen some boys in mississippi stab them with a spear on a promo video for their guide service.but they were being held by a 90 lb. pit bull.
First let me say that sounds more like fighting than hunting. I have seen this done. Myself I want no part of it. I would rather tie the hog up. To much danger with dogs, hog, and knife.
Yes it's legal here. 90% of the Hogs we catch, we kill with a Knife......

Have you ridden in the shotover boats yet?? If not you gotta do that before you leave.

I have not been able to go stag hunting, sadly. My friend hunts them quite a bit, but I've mainly been sticking to hiking and fishing.

The shotover boats are a blast! I have been on them twice.

New Zealand is an amazing place, and it made me appreciate more of the beauty in Arkansas.

Before you die, you need to get here! The hiking is amazing too.

There is no turkey hunting though. To kill a turkey, all you have to do is hit it with a stick of butter on the way to the oven. You can walk right up to them here, and they are not scared of humans at all.

Imagine walking up to a turkey in Arkansas!

I'll get pics of some hogs soon. I would recommend just googling it.

(sorry for the choppy sentences, I am hurrying)

Who's up for slashing some hogs?
