Okay, if I read the reg right, there is no season on hogs so there isn't a "legal" firearm to hunt them with and you have to take them with a firearm that is legal for something else in season.

So..... Illegal to carry the .30-30 in January to do a little pig killing.

So what DO you shoot with when small game is all that is in season?

I think on privat land you can use what ever you want but a 22 mag works good if you head shoot them.

On private land you can use that 30-30 all year long, day or night.

  5. Fox and coyote season is still open. I just read on my AGFC app that you can use any caliber to hunt these animal with. So if you eat the pigs, use a .22 mag and hit him right between the eyes. If you don't eat them, use a .50 cal and enjoy watching buzzers eat pig soup.
