Man you would think that they would try to control the hawk population, especailly the chicken hawks. From Walnut Ridge to Black rock we have counted hundreds just driving. You think they would have a small season to control them. They eat alot of doves, quail, and rabbits. They are just bout as bad as yotes!!!!

Should see all the bald eagles on are place up here! We had two last week now we have 6!
Winged a goose this mornin while duck huntin. We saw it go down way across a field. We figured we could pick it up on way out. A few minutes later 3 eagles were working it over. I guess snows are good for something.
yeah but theres a difference between hawks and eagles....at least there is to me. lol
There is a differnts! Except they both kill samethings! LOL
Way to many hawks. They catch eveything. Baby turkeys as well.

Yepp. They are really hurting our rabbit population also. Theres a big difference between hawks and eagles. One is over populated and the other is just now gaining its populaiton back.

I see the population the same by the end of Feb. we will have at lease 20 or so eagles on are place.
It is amazing there is a rabbit left in NE AR because all winter there is a hawk on every telephone pole. They do need thinning.
These crop fields are loaded with mice, I think they probably eat more mice than anything.

Same thing happened to my son a week or so ago. He shot a duck and it fell generally toward the truck. When they were going a few minutes later out a redtail hawk was already eating on it.

They make a funny sound when you stomp on them. Kind of like a squeaky toy. Or so I've heard.

out where we hunt, they're thick as ticks. think there's a roost near by. we count 8-10 in one outing to cut firewood
Sure, Page 82 section six of the rule book says "IF A HAWK IS PRESENT ON A LIMB OR FENCEPOST FOR OVER A FIVE MINUTE PERIOD THE HAWK MAY BE REMOVED FROM THE LIMB WITH LEATHAL FORCE " Oh yeah it must be a 25 calliber or smaller! LOL

We call a point the eagle nest for that reason.
