Had 1 bobcat and 1 coyote today. It was dark when i walked up to the set. Didnt see the cat. Until it jumped at me. Caught him on a flat t bone set. And the coyote on a dirt hole.
Do you think you have more success with the coni-bucket turned sideways?
That’s a good question, I’ve never tried them any other way.Do you think you have more success with the coni-bucket turned sideways?
Opposite here, as I first saw and have only used the other way. But I’ve only used 160, which leaves a little more space on each side, than I’d like. So, by turning the bucket narrow side up and down, I put a limb in front to close up gap, on the bottom,at least. That’s a good question, I’ve never tried them any other way.
When I first heard about this technique that’s the way it was presented, so I copied that.
Are you trapping the same area all through the winter or changing areas? I can put out two dozen dp traps and probably will not catch a coon after the second nightAnd one more for good measure. That’s the 3rd coon I’ve caught in that trap in 5 days.

I’ll have to try the mini muffins, and let you know if that’s my vote, cause I won’t be along the Ouachita River.I just switched back to blueberry mini muffins this week and put all of my traps along the edge of the Ouachita River. I don’t know which of those 2 changes flipped the switch.
