Does anyone think I can find one cheaper at the show? Also looking for some 9mm ammo where's the best place to buy that, I am in Conway, thanks guys.

You might as well wait. There is one around the 15th of Jan at the fairgrounds in Conway. Thats the one i'm waiting for. I've been to a few in J-Ville and imo they arent worth the time or entrance fee. Too many jokers trying to sell stuff at normal retail store prices
Normal retail prices or over inflated prices. I found some good prices on powder and brass last time in jacksonville but that is about it.

i think youre the 3-4th person i have heard that from. No way i'd buy a gun from one though. I am CONSTANTLY warning ppl at work (mostly city type ppl and non gun owners) who say they are going to the local gun shows to research what you are thinking about buying before they go cause they are priced to take advantage of ppl that just dont know
Well I am not going to the show. just going to Academy and buy the gun, but tomorrow I will be bow hunting. happy new years to everyone. And thanks for all the imput.
Well, I have been to every gun show in central Arkansas in the last 5 years and have spent less than $200.00 and that includes entry fee! if you find a good deal there I will be shocked. You are more likely to find something you need like powder, canvas tote bags or some reloading supplies that you cannot find locally. But as for guns, they will give you nothing for yours and want high retail for thier own.

However, I will give them my $7.00 again!
i have found several good deals on guns--but have never paid there price----always have cash and be willing to haggle,if they are having a slow day and need to sell then it is good for u.mostly from small dealers and pawn shop guys that are just trying to move inventory.
In defense of some of the dealers at the shows, an awful lot of folks will take a gun to the show that he paid retail for some time back. He will then expect to get close to retail for a used gun from someone who is going to try to resell the gun. Many times he wants more for the gun than the dealer can buy it for new in box from his jobber and gets upset because the table guys won't give it to him.

Plain and simple, most of the table guys are there for one reason and that reason is not to provide the general public with an opportunity to buy a gun cheap. They are there to make money. They do that by buying low and selling high. Good ol Joe at the local gun store is not going to sell you a gun at or below costs, either. He may be able to buy guns cheaper because he buys a large volumn of guns, hence gets a discount from his jobber. The store that doesn't make a profit goes out of business.

:thumb: +$40 to $50 per table + loading all the stuff up, gas to get to show & motel rooms, eating out for the weekend before they make a penny. tony
Went today and it was busy. Looked like a lot of sales being made. Picked up an AR lower to begin building my first EBR
What brand lower and how much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking?

Palmetto. It was 90 bucks. Looked online and you can get one a lil cheaper. But with transfer and shipping, it was easier to get it there
Thanks. That's not bad at all. I did see online the other day they are having a sell on them now for something like $50, which sounds good but like you said, transfer and shipping, it's worth it to me to just spend a few extra bucks and pick one up. I need to go to the next one to look for a lower, just wondering what they might be going for at a gun show.
