Anybody have any info Gulf Mtn as far as turkeys go. I'm thinking about applying for a permit, wondering if there's a lot of birds up there.

I went last year and was very disappointed in the hunt. hunted all day, walked 6 or 7 miles and never heard a bird or see much sign.

i did call in a giant coyote but never got a shot.

My father in law had better luck, he saw some hens and jakes but no gobblers.

Thats not what i wanted to hear...i already applied for a permit :smack: i have never hunted up there but i drove through it one day and it looked awsome but just cuz it looks good don't mean there are birds around
