I was thinking of going to a telescoping stock and hadnt yet. I was reviewing the 90's ban and I think my AR would be good. will they try to reinstate or go further???

    Who knows.

The collapsible stocks were legal on pre-ban rifles then.

I thought telescoping and folding were "bad"?

They were not allowed on guns built during the "ban" period of '94-'04 that met the criteria of a "semi automatic assault weapon". A semi auto assault weapon could only have 2 of the 5 evil features: pistol grip, detachable magazine, collapsible stock, flash hider and bayonet lug. The evil items were legal for guns built prior to the ban, hence the "pre-ban" reference. Also, they are still allowed on all firearms (pre-ban, ban and post-ban) in free states that did not make the "AWB" permanent.

yeah, I am planning on getting a collapsible so may sons can more easily shoot it. I may just keep the A2 stock just in case.
