No one owns any private islands on lake Dardanelle. You are wrong about that (Ozark pool yes). As far as water front property. I guess I could claim to own it. Although I can't cut any trees or even trim any limbs if they (Crops) wanted to they could keep me from cutting my grass on the water. Had to wait for a special permit for years before I could have a dock.If your not familiar with the area then I would really do my scouting first. Yes there are people that have water front property in fact there are folks that own islands but they just dont throw a fit about the hunters.
The Corps does own the lake and the land up to the HIGH WATER MARK ONLY after that it is private and trust me you will know it is if you go to hunt it. Lake Dardanelle WMA covers from almost to Ozark to Russellville. It is mostly the river its self as the lake is just a resivoir on the river. The birds are very smart on the lake its self. The 'Tar Pits" I real sure where you are talking about there are strip pits but no tar pits. And they will be very crowded to say the least with hunters and fisherman both.
BUT like Froman said you better have a boat.
Oh and ther aint any geese on Lake Dardanelle.![]()
You continue to amaze me. Plenty of Geese? Seriously? We just got through driving a 172 miles, looking for fields with geese in them we saw 2 fields with them there. And one of those fields was 30 yards from a house. If there are plenty of them do tell. :banghead:The entire lake all the way up to the the dam in ozark is all corps land. Nobody owns water front land, the corps surveys a flood plain easement, It is marked with white paint and white t posts.Lots of Islands lots of bottoms. Plenty of geese for all of us. Come on over.
I can think of one right now that I know for a fact is privately owned. I have checked with the Corp on it and it has been confirmed. No one owns any private islands on lake Dardanelle. You are wrong about that (Ozark pool yes). As far as water front property. I guess I could claim to own it. Although I can't cut any trees or even trim any limbs if they (Crops) wanted to they could keep me from cutting my grass on the water. I don't think I agree with that one either.Plenty of geese for all of us. Come on over.
