Well I was able to get out and go hunting this morning. As many hours as I have been working lately, I havn't been able to get out and scout. I went to a place that I have had luck in the past. Apparently all the rain has pushed the turkeys to a different location. I was able to see a few turkeys but was unable to call them to me. As I was leaving, I saw two gobblers way out in a field and I don't think they even heard me calling to them because I was downwind and the wind was a little brisk. Later, walking down the trail, I saw a hen. Then I discovered that I had walked through where the turkeys had moved to. I may be back after them tomorrow morning.

The only thing I learned this morning was one more layer of clothes would have been nice.

The only thing I heard was the wind blowing.

The only thing I saw was a few song birds and a bunch of cows.

I almost had one in close enough for my dad. Him and some hens skirted us about 50 yards through the brush and would never get any closer. He probably gobbled 50 or 60 times. Another bird was hammering across the creek on the roost but our lovely high water kept us from him. I'll be back after him in the morning as I have a bone to pick. Good luck to ya flydown sounds like you had a good morning.
