What's the best radar detector?
Ohh, and leave the house earlier...
Years ago was the only time I ever used one and just once. I got the only ticket I have ever received for speeding the only time I ever used one.
I am sure you will get some responses, but I'm with quackpipe on this one. I drive a lot for work, up to 300 miles a day sometimes. You can speed, but keep it reasonable (3-4 over) and you will rarely get even a look.
Besides, unless you are planning on going 80+ mph for hours you are not really gaining that much time.
Sorry, I won't preach any more either.
Valentine or Escort Passport. Pricey but worth it.
When I used one, 20 plus years ago, it was a Whistler.
I used to have one. The thing falsed so many times I never could speed. And if you do get pulled over and the policeman sees it you aren't getting a warning.
Do they even really work with the new lasers they are using now???
Escort passport is the way to go. I remember hearing escort use to back their product saying if you got a ticket while using it they would pay it. Don't know if that's true.
K40 - comes with a no ticket guarantee.
I have a Escort Passport 9500ix and its been the best thing ever. Got it in 2013 and knock on wood, not tickets so far. If I am in cruse, I am hall-en. The best feature on this thing is the GPS and logic it uses. It will learn where the false alarms are and eliminate them. It works like if you get alerts in the same area on 3 different days it marks that spot and then stops the alert. I drive 15 miles to work and I will not get a single false alert. When I first got it I would get 5 or 6 false alerts going to work before the logic started eliminating them. The GPS will also change it to city mode when driving in the city and let you know of cameras at stop lights. Its pretty much plug in and forget. I never touch it driving around home. Its not to good when I travel out of town because it has not been able to learn where all the false alerts are on long trips. So there are false alarms when I leave town on long trips. Often I will turn it off when driving through a big city when driving a ways from home. All that being said, its best to drive under the speed limit and relax..... My brother in law is a cop and we are pretty tight, and he told me straight up, if any police officer pulls me over for speeding and sees it I will get a ticket... Including him.
I never get off with jus a warning without one
you can buy whatever you want. but if they are using a stop watch or Laser with quick on and off switch nothing will help you
I've got an Escort and my wife has a Valentine. Mine seems to filter out the false alarms better than hers. Both have about the same range. They work great in highway traffic or if the man is driving along with his radar on. Back roads and by yourself with no other vehicles in sight, not so much.
