Guys, I have more than enough venison in my freezer to last all year. I still want to get into the woods, and would only take a shot on a trophy. My thought is to take a few buddies who've expressed interest in hunting out to get their first kills. This is pretty exciting to me. I've taken a few guys out but it always seems like they are less interested in hunting than the campfire revelries. I'm fine with that but I like to be in a tree. What are your thoughts. My goal is to introduce a handful of folks to hunting and hopefully make it fun for them. I just don't know if they understand the early mornings, the cold, and the patience required all for the potential to see nothing. Not to mention the drag out... How have you guys gone about introducing new hunters to the sport? Setting expectations early but with optimism, or just letting them tag along to see what the experience is about? Thanks!
