so is the system as fast as tracking a UPS package? just enter the number and there is the info?

I dont know about the web, but I called the 800# and they were able to tell where it was banded and what year. Yes they will email you a certificate.X2?? I've wondered this same thing. The two I've killed with bands, I called the number on the band. They didn't give me any info over the phone. My certificate came in the mail in a few weeks with the info on it. One thing I've wondered is why does the USGS send out the certificates when the USFWS does the banding?

That is not correct just got mine in the mail yesterday for the first band of the year.they quit mailing certificates, they only email them now
You log onto their website to find out location of banding age etc... and select a box to have certificate mailed.
