Food plots and fields. I walk in a grid pattern across those G&F food plots and look real hard and try to be as thorough as possible. This is the time of year they will be on these due to the lack of food elsewhere and I've had pretty good luck finding them on mostly food plots between mid January on thruogh Feb. The best set I've ever found was the second day of turkey season in '06 (April 5th or 6th)

BG12,
It's probably 4 or 5 miles from there as the crow flies. Did I tell you that I went back there this year and he had rubbed the same tree except this time he only tore up one fork as opposed to all 3. THis is for you:

I think this year he had only hit the one in the far right of the second pic.

I do need to go look for his sheds.

Cool man, thanks. I've got a few plots I can drive to and that's what I'll do and it don't take long to warm up grid walking them plots. Plots behind a gate require some walking along with the gridding so you can definately stay warm that way and I'm hoping, find more shed due to the lack of traffic spooking the deer off the plots. I've got several more that I haven't hit yet and plan on walking a few of them this weekend. I'm on a mission for a winter turkey with my bow so I'll do a combo turkey hunt/shed hunt. It helps with the motivation to get out there. Good luck man :thumb:

Good looking shed you found.
Great turkey pic too. I didn't know you could rattle 'em though. I may have to try that this year. :thumb:

BL, We've go some rubs about like that down at our deer camp and my butt has been sore from sitting down there on the stand. Hasn't done me any good though.
I'm sure my lucky dang buddy could go down there and have a good one on the ground in less than an hour though. :smack:
