I've never been know to have the best luck turkey hunting. I've gone every year for the last 15 years and yet to kill a bird. Even went to Kansas last year and didn't kill a bird!
But it all came together yesterday morning on a central AR wma. I set up on this bird and he gobbled over 100 times before flying down. He flew down bout 150 yards from me and I was able to get him to 52 steps before I pulled the trigger on my 20ga! My first bird ended up having an 11.5 inch beard and 1.25 spurs. Needless to say.... I'm hooked!

Congratulations man. JFYI, fuzzy pipe cleaners are for first bird only. Stop at one of ICE vending machines and get some twist ties or carry small zip ties. Way to hang in there.

I've always used pipe cleaners because I can wrap them around my pen! Haha
