My gf has 40 acres I can hunt this year, but there are horses on this land and they can go anywhere on it..I am wanting to put out a camera and bait it so I can get some pics what can I put out that the horses wont eat.
probably nothing. you may want to think about fencing off a small section and put your feeder and cam in the middle. deer will come in and out but horses wont be able too. i think they do this in texas alot where there are cows and from what ive heard it works good
We have this problem from time to time with passing cattle. Fence off a good 30' by 30' square and set the feeder in the middle. The deer may be hesitant at first, but in no time you should see what the property has to offer.
Yeah, at our Texas lease they would use the short cattle panels and put maybe three a side with a feeder in the middle and the deer jump over, but cattle and horses don't even try. Not a really cheap alternative, but one which works.
