Anybody hunting the fall season that starts this weekend? I figure I'll throw my shotgun in the truck with my bow. We did have a good group of hens hanging out in our pastures last week. I shot one bowhunting last Thursday, so maybe I'll find them again. It runs through next Friday and I'll be off on that day, so I might go to my spring honeyhole that day if I haven't used my tag yet...

I'm planning on going. This is the first year for St. Francis National Forest to have a fall gun hunt so I may go down there & try to bust some up. :thumb:

I had plans to this fall, but as you can see I am not. I am hoping to get out and be able to spring turkey hunt.

I was thinking you could only kill 1 . Never really got into hunting turkeys when their not gobbling

Reggie just checked and you can kill two turkeys in the fall, but only one with archery and one with modern gun.

Reggie doesn't like to hunt 'em when they're not gobbling either, but last weekend one sounded off Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning while Reggie was bowhunting. He must have thought that cool weather was spring.

I took my daughter saturday morning. We were on birds from first light through noon. Just couldn't get everything worked out. I'll be back on their trail wednesday morning.
