Anybody have one? Love it, hate it?

I'm looking at one but don't know if I want the 3 or 4.

Basically wanting a camping, run around the woods, all around bush craft type knife. I own several dozen knives but nothing that really fits that bill.

The Esee 3 or 4 follow in that same line. Shape, grind, and length are all the same. The use high carbon steal and more modern handle material.

    Thx for the article!

I have one. Don't use it a lot but it stays in my pack year round.

I don't have an ESEE, but do have a Becker BK14. I think they are similar steel, 1095. I hate the coating and stripped mine and forced a patina with mustard and burlap. I haven't carried it much due to just having a paracord wrapped handle on mine. I am looking at getting a production G10 handle and will likely carry it more.

One that I have more experience with is my Svord General Outdoors knife. It is not pretty... orange plastic grip... It comes with a thick, full length leather sheath and is high carbon steel. I dressed 4 deer, 2 hogs and 2 turkeys before sharpening. While not a traditional "bushcraft" style knife, it is a great user.
