What should you never leave home without?

As you know, sometime's you can get into tough situations while duck hunting. For me it's net's, old trot-line's..ect..ect..

I personally take an lighter, (2) knives, battery's and flashlight in my blind bag.

What about you?

I had it worded a little differently BUT, got slapped for inappropriate language usage......:smack:

I mean the "one" thing that you carry with yourself beside the common's.
you can never have to many knives. i lost a good friend i assume because he couldnt get to his knife. he stepped in a deep hole and drowned while duck hunting. his waders filled up and he couldnt get out. he had got them unbuckled but couldnt get out of them before he drowned.

Sorry for your loss, hopefully we can each share something that we take that will or may save a life one day!

Thanks, QA
toilet paper. never leave home without it.
Wear it around my neck like a duck band!!!:up:

I actually roll-off about 1/2 a roll and stick it in a zip lock bag to keep dry. If I drop it, it float's!...of course, I guess if push come to shove, I could use one of the 3-pair of sock I wear!!!!!!!!!!
gun
shells
olt
knife
flashlight
bottle of water
T.P.
jacket
waders
a few decoys
jerk string
wallet
that is about all i carry most of the time...

I always have my cell phone with me...although, it has caused some woes and misery since I have lost cell phones duck hunting, and they don't like the water too much.

The one thing I never go duck hunting without, and I suggest no one ever goes duck hunting without it...

Is a space blanket.

They cost about $3 and if you take a dunk in the freezing cold water it can save your life. Not to mention, if someone is searching for you the foil can be seen from in the air from miles away.
keep it simple

gun
shells
calls
everything else you can manage without if you had too, ive hunted without waders, decoys, toilet paper is nice but you can manage without it if you have too.not pleasant but man lived long time without t.p? you can kill ducks with gun shells and calls, talk em in close and kill em...... dont believe in sky bustin but if you had to eat you can do it, hypotheticlly speaking that is. minimal calling just about always works.... its the gadgets that make duck hunting a lot of work sometimes... i like the simple approach, good callers very few decoys and teamwork, most times put limits in the freazer...:amen:
I carry an old waterproof field bag with an extra 2-3 pr socks, thermal tops and bottoms, gloves ect.. A lot of guys laugh when I throw it in the boat, but I don't go without it.. I always get the last laugh when they get wet and ask for the bag.. Can't put it on if you don't have it with you!!
I just always wear my white undies....that way I'll have a good flag to wave down the search crew when they come looking for me.

And something to eat/cook when I get to the blind
You guys are forgetting the peanut butter crackers, ya know the orange ones. yummy nuttin like a mid morning snack of peanut butter crackers:thumb:
Deer summer sausage and crackers is my treat of preference
i keep an 8 pack of crackers,2 rolls of T.p., wd-40, duc tape, channel locks, zip ties, camera, gps, socks, super-33 all in the gunbox of my boat if i'm in it... i take a crap about every time i go hunting, i just can't help it. but i pack a light bag, i hate toting a bunch of crap around. that was the greates news ever when they cut-off the mojo just cause they didn't clutter up the boat anymore. oh well......
