my cousin is wantin to get his best deer hound fixed she has been in heat the last 3 deer seasons and he cant even bring her we have bout 30 dogs in camp one of them would get to her when we ran her not to mention all the other dogs gettin hunted in the area so whats yalls opion on gettin a gyp fixed will it hurt her hunt thanks

also wonderin since she had a litter could it change her cycle up

It won't hurt, but I would not spay her. I would not do that to my best dog as I would want pups out of her. Vic's vapor rub works well they say, or just breed her and then take her..

Wont hurt a thing. Had a treeing walker that ran deer like a camp that was spayed

If you dont care about raising pups out of her then it would be a good thing. No more worries with every dog in the country coming around a sniffing and the moody crap you deal with. Best thing for a hunting dog in my opinion.
