What a ripoff!!!!!..........I recieved a big white package with an envelope attached to it.The white package is stamped Free gift inside......Well after I opened the big white package,I find out the free gift is a tiny little keychain/cheap compass. And that the big nice Calendar in the package is not free.........................Well I'm not angry about the calender being 16.99,The package they give you to send it back in is the one you just ripped open like a kid on x-mas day..........So if I don't want to pay the 16.99 for the calender,I have to buy a new envelope to mail it back in.They gave me a Postage paid sticker to put on it so theres no postage due...................................The point that I'm trying to eventually get to is that I did'nt ask for the Calender in the first place!!!!!!!!!.....I hate this kind of Crapp!!........It's a very nice wildlife Calendar too,but it's not worth 16.99..........Not to mention I have to go to the trouble to mail it back!!!!

Well i'm through venting now.So if ya'll get get one of these and you don't want the calender.Don't rip it open or you'll be buying an envelope!

If they sent it to you and you didn't request it, you are not obligated to pay for it or return it.

The NRA sent me a video a couple of years ago. About every month, I'd receive a envelope and a bill saying to either pay for it or mail it back. After about 6 months, they called me. I told the guy that I didn't order it, so I considered it a gift. Didn't hear from them after that.

I got a package/envelope a couple of weeks ago from them and all it had in it was; a deer decal, a NAHC bumper sticker, a little orange NAHC license/hunter ed. card holder, and I think it had some address labels in there also. I'm starting to get a pretty good collection of stuff from them even though I have not requested any of it and I'm not going to join up with them.

I received a NASCAR dvd a couple years ago and with it a note that said if i didn't send it back they would assume I wanter more and they would send them and bill me. I called them and told them I didn't ask them to send it to me in the first place so why should I be out the time and stamp to mail it back. They said keep the dvd and I would never hear from them again, so I did and I haven't. Long story short-if you receive something in the mail you didn't order you ARE NOT obligated or liable to pay for it.

NAHC would send me these nice, hardback hunting books that cost like $35. I kept sending them back with a note not to send anymore. They kept sending them until I kept one without paying. Haven't seen another one since.

You definitely do not have to pay if you did not order the stuff. I've got free videos from the NRA and NWTF like that. I bet they each sent me letters for 6 months telling me I'd better return the videos.
Dont ever buy a membership to the NAHC. They'll quit sending all of the free address labels, license holders, and note pads immediately. My wife has a membership to PADI (scuba diving club), and she gets mad bc they send me all that free crap every other month. She gets nothing but the magazine she paid for.

I really don't like NAHC! I joined some time ago, mainly just wanting their magazine. Instead of the mag I wanted, all I got was one letter after another wanting me to commit to more years of membership and wanting to sell me other stuff. I finally got fed up with it and called them to cancel my membership and asked for my money back. Surprisingly, they gave me my money back.

Ya they can be a big hassel but I like their mags so I went ahead and got the membership in both of their clubs. I just told them not to send me all that junk and so far it has worked. I did get a petty nice reversable hunting vest from them though but I think it was part of the life member thing.

One cloudy, rainy afternoon/night about 15 years ago in Cut-Off Creek, I would have paid $100 for a cheap keychain compass. The guy that I took with me would've paid $500. :smack:
That is funny!! I have been there a time or two myself!! Don't forget the flashlight. Don't forget the flashlight. Hey where's the flashlight, :censored:!!
