I was wondering if the deer movement has picked up any down here in south ark. I hunt in zone 12 around magnolia. My dad and I are going to head out tomorrow around lunch and he is going to rifle hunt and i'm going to bow hunt. I haven't been able to go any this week so I was just wondering if things had picked up any. I know it has been slow. Thanks.

Things have picked up quite a bit, if it will stay cool. Bucks are chasing some and they are stirring in the afternoons about 4ish til whenever.

Of course my dad is going to rifle hunt Monday morning. I'm the one bow hunting. That's all I do now is bow hunt.

Lots of deer seen & caught on camera the last two days of the regular gun season near Chidester, but decent bucks are scare with rutting activity way, way, down.

Even at night the large buck movement is down on all our cameras.

That's normal for us.

Great time to kill a deer over bait.

Tough time to kill a good one.

I'm going to start after them this afternoon, even with the rain. I have a couple of pop ups I can hunt while its raining. I have all week to hunt so I am going to get after them hard. Hopefully they will get moving when this rain pushes out.
