I went on my first winter crappie fishing trip this past weekend. A friend invited me to go crappie fishing, man I'm glad I did! It was a blast and I have all of this to show for it! I cleaned 21 good ones!

Somebody killed my crappie fishing hole. They got a boat hung in the spillway during one of those monster rains we had and it washed part of the levee out, effectively draining the lake down to a duck pond.

I was hopeful of going this saturday. The earlier forecast said that friday would have highs near 70 with lots of rain. Cooling off sat. (Meaning that the surface water would jump quick on friday and remain high till atleast sat night) But now they are saying that it will cool off quick friday night. Which will probably cool the water back down. The day after a cold front is not the day to go forward.
