Probably the best decoy out there but you will pay for them... flocked heads require extra care when hauling...
I hunted with some guys this year that had 2 dozen dakotas and 2 dozen fully flocked higdons. Man they look nice but it dang near took up a whole boat to haul 4 dozen decoys in slotted bags.
I recently bought a dozen of the Feather Flex foam decoys. Those things are awesome. One dozen decoys weighs 2 pounds. The heads are removable, and they're stackable. I just carry them in a small duffle bag. I'll probably try to get another dozen by next year.

Same here. They look awesome and work though
if you're willing to take the time and space to put em in individual slots they look good but dang expensive. if you want some that look good without flock just throw in the bag type take a look at G and H. went back to em this year and have been impressed. little more $ than some but don't mind paying for made in America
Dakota decoys are the most realistic decoys on the market but you can't throw. them around and the slotted bags do take up some room. but they do look real.. G&h look real too and you won't have to worry bout messing them up.
I love my Dakota's. They move on the water like you wouldn't believe. The drakes come with 2 sets of heads. Flocked and plastic. You can buy replacement flocked heads if you tear them up. For 22 bucks. If you have more than a dozen you won't be walking in. Last year at the end of the season cabelas had them for 106 a dozen.
I hunted with Ryan on this hunt and those decs are great! We had a drake land in them about 10 yards away from us and the only way we could keep track of him was his head was moving!

Check that...They're Flambeau, not Feather Flex.
You can get a dozen right now on rogers sporting goods for about $125 a dozen i believe. Not cheap but still cheaper than the $165 Gander is selling them for

I got a buddie with some and he just puts them out to kill his limit. Doenst even have to call!!
Hunted with a guy this past weekend that had some and they look AWESOME!!! I too would be worried about how they hold up. When you have them out on a sunny day its hard to tell the difference between the decoy and a live greenhead on the water!
ive shot my fair share of flocked head decoys. some on accident and some out of spite.
This is my second season with 2 dozen dakotas. I love them. Everyone who hunts with me loves them. I keep them in slotted bags and the flocking has held up great. Had 2 that cracked last year and they sent me new ones after a phone call. Also have fully flocked higdons and really like them too, may not look quite as good as dakotas but they are foam and will last longer even after they get shot.
I know your not asking for them ,, but for the bang for your buck check out Cherokee Sports Dead Ringers. Google them they are around 35.00 a dozen and will take a shot from 25 yards .
I have 3 dozen dakotas. My wife got me the last dozen for my birthday! (trained her well) jk. I love them. But they are right, no walk-ins and no room in your boat but they are well worth no feet and leg room. I reccomend them but there are some cons.
