The crappie are biting from about 5:30 pm to midnight on Lake ERLING. Slip corks with shiners and jigs are doing the trick for me. Not going to tell how many, just that a limit is easy. Will try to get some pictures next weekend. Most of the fish are 1 1/4 lb to 3 lbs.

Are you at the dam or up the lake? Sounds like they may be getting ready to go to the bank. Are the full of eggs yet? My deer club borders the lake, so I have the best of two worlds. It's been about three years since they really went to the banks and stayed. Watch out for stubby, the big alligator that roams those parts. He's about 14 feet long.

Crappie

The fish are moving up the creeks. Most of the ones we caught were male. The bigger ones were full of eggs.
