Started Christmas last night here. Oldest grandson, turns 9 in Feb, got to break in his new T/C Hotshot .22. This is really a neat little gun, looks just like a T/C Encore that got shrunk. It's got the shortest length of pull I've ever seen on a .22. It also comes with a one inch spacer you can put between the butt plate and the stock, you can buy more for about $12 and it says you can stack as many as you want to make the stock longer. I put a T/C Hotshot scope on it, 4 power. Anyway, this is just about the most kid friendly rifle I've seen. I'm also out of .22 shells, you can run a bunch through a single shot.

excellent rifle for a young shooter. only problem I saw with them is the trigger is rough at best.

Good to see he keeps it pointed in a safe direction though. Looks like he loves that little gun. I still have my first 22 and its still as fun to shoot now as it was back then.

Looks more solid than the cricket I was planning on getting my son. What did it cost?

My grandfather got me a single shot savage .22 for Christmas when I was 9 in 1980. Best gun ever. I hope you guys build as many great memories with it as we did. Sure do miss my grandpa.
