I grew up duck hunting before all the special loads and choke tubes, but haven't duck hunted in about 30 years. Each year I do go on a goose hunt or two though. I have the full or extra full choke that came with the gun, but is there a better option? Shooting 12 gauge 3 inch.

I keep my mod. in my 11/87. some say fulls can mess up steel and open your pattern.

You will probably be better off going with a less tight restriction when shooting steel. Try a Modified and see if that gives the results you want. Steel can't restrict like lead and too tight of a choke could actually cause the pattern to disperse more than using a less restrictive choke tube.

I use my factory modified for steel. Ducks or geese. Remington 870.
