those toenails make me wonder if there is some funny business going on there. Turkey toenails just like any other animal will manage themselves by just walking and foraging for food. Unless these toenails grew overnight I am going to have to throw the flag in on this one!:head:

My wife's uncle killed one this year with a 2" and a 1 3/4" this year. Having it mounted. As for the claw, if you'll look at it you'll see it doesn't appear to make normal contact with the ground. I see dogs with the same problem all the time and it's not for lack of contact with rocks or even pavement. It just turns a little funny and doesn't wear normally. May be some funny business there, but I wouldn't bet against it being completely wild. For what it's worth to you.
