anybody tried one of the cheap chinese crossbows off of ebay.com for less than 100 dollars.

i personally have not tried them, but in another forum, the topic was discussed and it was basically "you get what you pay". you don't have to pay a lot to get a good crossbow, horton makes a few bows in the 2-300 dollars range. are you interested in this bow for hunting or just playing around?

hunting,shots will be 20 to 25 yards.

with season starting to wind down, i would think you could probably find a much better, cheap one for sale. maybe craigslist, or ebay.

I have tried them before....150lbs crossbow for $75 I believe, it shot great out to 40 yards with a cheap BSA red dot sight on top of it, any further then that and the shots where very inconsistent....it would however burry a bolt all the way through one of the cheap cardboard target boxes from academy at 35 yards.

I sold it on Craigslist for what I had in it
