Charcoal Grill

I'm looking to buy a WELL made charcoal grill. I've looked around at them at various locations and Academy Sports seems to be the only location I have found a solid/sturdy grill that will last. I'm just looking forthe traditional barrel style perferrably with a smoker box attached but not a must.

I might be willing to buy a used one if someone has one around not being used and in good condition.

I know its not the best time of the year to be buying one, but just bought a house and wanting one bad now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

how big are you wanting it

Nothing huge.....but big enough if i had 10 people or so over that it could keep up with the food.

Nothing as big as whats in the picture above.

If need be I will do some looking online and provide one about the size im looking
for.
I picked one up from Lowe's a couple of years ago that I really like when we want to cook over charcoal instead of gas.

Here is the grill... http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=44754-000001646-2121&lpage=none

and here is the optional side fire box... http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=97824-1646-2424&lpage=none

I've cooked for a half dozen or so with room to spare.
I inherited one just like in Mr. C's 2nd picture, has the firebox off to the side for smoking. I like to fire up a low bed of charcoal under the grill and then get some green hickory or apple wood to smokin' off to the side. You sort of slow grill and smoke at the same time. Your hamburgers will never be the same, and I won't even go into what happens to steaks! :eating:

Man, am I hungry! :thumb:
I've been using the Chargrill Smokin Pro for about 4 years and love it. Found a web sight that has all kinds of info. Its got good Smoking Meat Forums on it too
I picked up one like Mr C posted the pic of, a month or so ago in Texarkana, for $100 at Abertson's...got it for the new hose that GM and i got.....cooked on it the same night, and it is a good one!!!!!!
that fellow with the grill in soark's picture must be a midget, how come that big grill has no legs?my back hurts thinking about cooking on that!
