I know it’s on here somewhere but I couldn’t find it.

What kind are you using? Do you like it? Would you buy it again?

Primo large. Would def buy again. Maybe the XL instead but it mostly serves my purposes. Love the 2 zone heating the oval shape gives you. I can put the charcoal box divider in and have half the grill going hot and the other half not going at all and do a reverse sear. Or if it’s a small cook just have a little bit of charcoal going

Are you able to use this as a grill and a smoker?

I have a Big Green Egg. I love it but I'm not sure if Id buy another one or not. I think some of the other less expensive ones would probably do just as good.

I can cook everything from a burger or steak to a brisket or a pizza in it.

Here’s a pic with grates flipped over. I use this when I’m searing or if it’s a thin piece of meat. Gets you a couple inches closer to the fire

I’ve got a Visions grill/smoker combo. You can get them at Sam’s for around $550. I like it and have zero complaints out of the 2 years I’ve had it now. Can cook about anything you want on it. If I had to do it over again though, I think I might get a pellet grill. My neighbor across the street has one and that thing is as low maintenance as it comes. As long as it’s got pellets the temp is going to be the same.

What’s the lifespan of a ceramic grill, under normal use?

For what they cost it better be a long dang time. I’ve grilled on mine a bunch the two years I’ve had it, and haven’t seen any signs of wear yet, knock on wood.

mine has a 20 year warranty on it.

in 7 years prior to owning this grill i had gone through 3 various grills. most of them the cheap walmart kind. only 1 of them was completely beyond repair. the other 2 were regulators/burners or grates being ate through.

if in 20 years i had gone through 9 grills i'd of come out ahead.

Wow, 20 years? Bumper to bumper? That would be worth the expense.

    20 on the ceramic
5 on the metal excluding cast iron
    1 on the cast iron
30 days on the felt which i still havent replaced but probably should have. i think the "ideal" replacement is annually

I've had mine for over 5 yrs and I can't think of anything other than maybe the felt that would ever wear out.

I looked at those, but I just don’t know that they’d be the same as an all ceramic grill. Very well could be wrong though.
