It was a good night. I got my first cat. I also got my first two catches in a dogproof.
I had a cat, 2 coons, a possum, and a dog.

First coyote. I can’t tell you how many times he’s pulled the wool out of my dirt holes, but I changed it up a few days ago. I put in a flat set with a small hole on each side of the trap. One side had lure, the other bait. I blended the trap in with pine needles. I caught a stray dog in it yesterday and I debated if it was worth my time remaking it. I went ahead and did it and I had this guy today.

Question for y’all on marking sets. All my
Stuff is on my own private ground. No need to conceal anything. I thought about getting some white clothes pins or regular close pins with a little flagging to clip on a branch near the sets. Right now I’m just remembering where my sets are. So far I haven’t lost or forgotten any but as I catch and move sets I’m sure I’m going to lose one.
Will a little flagging / marking near the set alarm yotes ? I know for bobcats flagging is actually an attractant.

My MB 550’s have a night latch and I’ve adjusted them down to 2 - 2.5 lb pain tension.
I had forgotten about pear moss as an option. In need to look into that more. Do you just get a big bag at Lowe’s ?

I order from Amazon. When I ordered before Christmas, it was cheaper you buy 5 bags than it was 3 or 4… Makes no sense, but I used all of it. They have fixed the prices accordingly now.
