Stuped dog. It barks to hear it's head rattle.
Did he say "decimal" reader?
To get a true noise reading the meter should be in front of the bow/shooter. The sound from the bow is projected forward, not behind. Nice try though.
Thats the only way to video the meeter and shoot at the same time. 62dc is the highest it gets when I'm shooting just a foot away. When you talk you will hit 72 to 76dc.
Sounded pretty quiet to me.
However, according to the meter, it's only slightly quieter than a dog barking. <giving you a hard time>
Dude, you need a better place to shoot. Reminded me of my last house, sure am glad I moved.

Oh, and I thought the bow was a lot quieter than the dog.:up:
That much noise nocking an arrow won't cut it in my setup....the 1.0 db might escape notice, but associated with the movement of drawing your bow will get you busted everytime!

If you point the meter at the dog it is barking at 80 dc

Of course... The dog's significantly further away too.

What really impressive is I would consider that bow "quiet" now. The way I remember, bows were much, much louder 10 yrs ago. I know my old Darton sure is.
